Surat: The Surat airport has been ranked third in the national customer satisfaction survey (CSS) in western region, carried out by the Airports Authority of India (AAI). The survey was conducted for 52 airports across the country. Chandigarh airport and Raipur airport topped the list.
In the western region, Surat airport has been ranked third, where as Vadodara topped the list followed by Aurangabad, Indore, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Bhopal and Jabalpur airports.
It must be noted that after Vadodara, Surat is the second airport run by AAI where the CSS was conducted in two rounds respectively starting from January to June and June to December this year.
In July to Dec 2016 survey score, Surat Airport ranked extremely high business and executive lounge facility (4.74 out of 5) whereas availability of customs inspection was ranked the lowest amongst 33 parameters of rating with 4.00 out of 5. Overall score for satisfaction at Udaipur Airport stood at 4.34 out of 5.
