The number of flights set to increase this winter at Jaipur airport, passengers are likely to witness congestion at Terminal 2 of the airport.
As per the new winter schedule, the airport will handle 49 flights, including six to international destinations and four unscheduled intra-state flights, on a daily basis.
"Earlier, we handled 47 flights. This has increased to 49. We are expecting an increase in this figure in the coming days this month as a few operators are planned to start direct flights to Kolkata and Ahmedabad," said a senior official of AAI, Jaipur, on Thursday . With the increase in flights, passengers may face congestion at the airport.Though the AAI had introduced many measures to decongest the passenger's waiting area, they are planning more to improve facilities. Authorities have a long-term plan ready and are going to start work on Terminal 3. Senior officials said that they have put some measures in place for passengers recently.
