Flying to Bangkok from Jaipur will be easier now as the Thai Sime Airways is set to start direct flights between the two cities from November 16 this year.
"Jaipur will be connected to Bangkok by a direct flight from November 16. The four-hour flight will further encourage in-bound and outbound tourism between the two regions," said Isra Stapanaseth, director, Tourism Authority of Thailand, New Delhi, here.
He said India is an emerging market for Thailand not only for leisure travel but also for big fat Indian weddings, film shoots, and MICE activities. "Thailand provides everything for all segments. Last year, more than 1 million Indian tourists visited the country registering a growth of 14.5%. We expect a similar growth this year as well," added Stapanaseth.
