Mumbai: Passengers at the Mumbai airport faced some glitches on Saturday, due to a demonstration,an evacuation drill, an hour-long shut down of the main runway and a heated altercation between angry passengers and the staff of an airline.
Earlier in the day, a taxi drivers' union, said to be affiliated under Shiv Sena, held a demonstration outside.
Separately, Jet Airways did an evacuation drill at the airport terminal.
"There is an Emergency Evacuation drill conducted at Terminal 2. We request you not to panic," the airline informed its passengers.
