Mysuru: Dasara visitors can look forward to take special flights to Mysuru. Nine months after commercial flights ceased operations to the tourist hub, the Dasara season has brought good tidings.
Given that grandeur of Dasara festivities is returning this edition after a simple-but-traditional celebration in 2015, the stakeholders are hoping that visitors will troop in to the city starting from September.
The authorities have requested the operation of special flights daily to Mysuru Airport to assist the Dasara visitors, sources told The Times of India. "A proposal has been sent to the Union civil aviation ministry and there are positive indications," they stated. The plan is to start to special flights from September when the number of visitors to the city will increase. Dasara will start from October 2.
