Kolkata: Vistara is seeing improved realisation and margins in the Indian market, Phee Teik Yeoh, the airline’s CEO, said here on Thursday.
He said the airline reorganised seats in April among its three classes and reduced prices.
“In the economy class, our occupancy is akin to the domestic industry average. In the business and economy-business classes the load factor has also seen growth,” he explained.
The airline would add two more A320s to its current fleet of 11. By 2018, he said, the fleet size would go up to 20. Yeoh said once the restrictions on foreign flights go, Vistara will start acquiring wider-body jets. For the time being, Vistara has arrangements with 12 international flyers for shifting passengers.
