Major airports, including those at Hyderabad, Bangalore and Cochin, will continue charging the current rates for aeronautical services till new tariff structure is decided by AERA.
The existing tariffs was approved till March 31 by Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA).
Aeronautical services include those rendered for cargo facility, ground handling and supply of fuel to the aircraft.
The watchdog has allowed various airports to continue to levy existing rates for another six months or till the regulator comes out with the new tariff structure.
It would be applicable for Hyderabad, Bangalore and Cochin airports as well as major airports operated by Airports Authority of India (AAI). Independent entities offering aeronautical services at these airports would also have to comply.
Citing AERA's ruling last month, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued a circular to stakeholders about tariff for aeronautical services at the various airports.
