Full-scale flight operations resume at Dabolim airport

After 30 days of restricted flight operations at Dabolim airport, the Navy withdrew its notice to airmen (NOTAM) at 12 am on Friday, marking the beginning of full-scale operations at the airport.
The NOTAM was issued from 10 pm to 4 am from March 1 to March 30 as the Indian navy officials attached to INS Hansa had planned to complete the last part of the extension work on the runway shoulders. The runway was to be extended by 3 mts on both sides. The navy would also complete the construction of rainwater drainage.
“It is true that the NOTAM period expired at 12 am on Friday, and therefore, we have begun full-scale flight operations,” said AAI Director K S Rao.
