Kolkata : Flight operation at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport was affected for about two hours this morning due to link failure of BSNL. Also read: Air India aircraft and Jet Airways bus separated 5 days after the mishap at Kolkata airport.
Due to the link failure telephonic connection with the pilots was hit between 7.30 am and 9 am and airport officials started working on the manual and stand by systems.
Airport officials said BSNL authorities were contacted who said a major fault had cropped up as there was no power supply in a part of the airport. BSNL resumed services later and the flight operations returned to normal, the officials added.
