Alliance Air's operation delayed by a month

Alliance Air, a subsidiary of Air India Limited, was to begin its operations in Nashik on March 27, but this date has been pushed by more than a month to May 1. Officials claim the delay was caused due to trouble in procuring three ATR 72 aircrafts.
Local MP Hemant Godse said, "I just met the Air India officials regarding commencement of flights from Nashik, but the operation has been deferred as the deal for procuring three TR72-600 aircrafts was delayed." He added, "The company is expected to procure aircrafts by April 15 and is planning to commence air service from May 1".
The company has planned two daily flights from Mumbai to Nashik, which will be connected with flights from metro cities like Hyderabad and Delhi.
The schedule of the flights has also been mapped out, flights will take off from Mumbai airport at 12.45 p.m. and land in Ozar airport at 1.30 p.m. From Nashik, take off will be at 2.00 p.m. and it will land in Mumbai at 2.45 p.m. The second flight will take off from Mumbai at 3.30 and land at Nashik 4.15 p.m. From Nashik, the flight will take off at 4.45 p.m. and land in Mumbai at 5.30 p.m.
"The airline company has also chalked out flight schedule, which have been connected to flights from Hyderabad and Delhi to towards Mumbai, to facilitate tourists or people planning to tour of Shirdi," added Godse. When contacted, a senior Hal official from HAL, did not comment on the issue.
