Thiruvananthapuram: he customs DRI department Wednesday seized 2.5 kilograms of gold which was found abandoned under the seat of an Air India flight. The gold was found in the flight which reached the capital city early Wednesday morning. The yellow metal was in the form of a biscuit and gold bar.
Three passengers have been taken into custody on suspicion for interrogation. One among the three is suspected to have smuggled the stuff.
Two weeks before the customs had seized 6.5 kilograms of gold transported by a passenger in the capital city. The metal was found stuffed inside an iron box.
