Ahmedabad: More than three dozen flights were delayed to and from Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot airports on Friday following dense fog in Delhi and consequential traffic congestion.
The delay of one hour to six hours throughout the day affected over 5,500 passengers.One flight each from Ahmedabad and Vadodara to Doha and Delhi respectively were cancelled respectively.
As many as 29 flights, including 14 departures and 15 arrivals, were delayed at Ahmedabad airport on Friday .This included 13 flights to and from New Delhi. One flight of Qatar Airways to Doha got cancelled. Around seven flights were affected on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai route while flights on Kolkata, Bangalore, Goa, Pune and Chennai too were delayed due to traffic congestion.
