New Delhi: Central Industrial Security Force has accused an airline of breaching security at Delhi Airport. CISF has alleged that an employee of Spice Jet gave a bag — that allegedly did not pass through security checks — to a passenger who had boarded a bus that was about to take passengers to their aircraft on Thursday night. The bag had Rs 10 lakh in cash.
The airline, however, denies any security breach or wrongdoing.
The incident occurred on Thursday night when passengers were going to board a Hyderabad-bound Spice Jet aircraft.
"The airline's duty manager came running with a bag and handed it to a passenger on the bus. This bag had the 'rush' tag that's fixed on bags checked in very close to departure time. Our alert personnel noticed and the bag and passenger were taken off the bus and frisked which revealed the cash,’’ said a CISF spokesperson.
