John Menzies will continue to sniff out large-scale acquisitions to boost its ground handling business, which already employs 12,000 workers at 98 airports worldwide.
The Edinburgh-based group - one of Scotland's biggest companies with sales last year of nearly £1.4 billion - said its aviation arm had continued its positive momentum in recent months with a "healthy" contracts pipeline, particularly in the UK, Spain and Australasia.
Group chief executive Patrick Macdonald said the division had signed two Indian joint venture agreements for cargo operations which are set to come on stream in 2008.
